Mark Makulinski, Chairman of Lockrey Manufacturing, has made a lasting impact on the community by leading Lockrey’s commitment to participate in regular community service. The result of the community service program brought great satisfaction to everyone involved. Lockrey employees and their families have made this program an ongoing tradition.
Lockrey Manufacturing’s Commitment to Community Service:
Community service plays an important role in the operations at Lockrey Manufacturing. Every year, employees donate a portion of their bonus money and time to volunteer at two handpicked organizations. Employees and their families are willing and ready to do whatever is asked of them and always end the day with a smile on their face knowing the good deeds that were done. The organizations that are chosen are nominated by Lockrey employees and narrowed down until 2 groups are chosen. Below are the most recent projects that Lockrey has participated in:
THE BEACH HOUSE – MAY 10, 2014
The Beach House is a local non-profit family shelter that has been assisting homeless women and families in the Toledo area since 1921. Beach House provides shelter, food, clothing referrals, personal hygiene items and transportation to many people every year. The facility is able to assist hundreds of individuals and households due to the generous donations of Toledo area businesses and residents.
Lockrey volunteers were able to assist with multiple projects at The Beach House including installing a new patio area, cleaning up and planting new flowerbeds and removing an old playground structure and prepping the area for a new one to be installed. There were lots of hands working on these projects including help from current residents/children at the Beach House. Lots of fun was had by all who attended.
