The Growing Stronger Together Campaign is the program by which the YMCA of Coastal Carolina plans to expand their facilities. After a boom in membership growth, the facility was forced to move classes to hallways and auxiliary spaces in order to facilitate all participants and activities. The new expansion will feature a 2,500-square-foot aerobics and fitness studio, a 23-acre soccer complex, and two 30-passenger shuttle buses to provide transportation to the four YMCA after school sites. The project is nearing completion, and a grand opening is scheduled for January 2, 2017.

The Makulinski Family Foundation has been matching donations to help fund the completion of this program. The newly expanded facility will provide a great service to the Coastal Carolinas community in the form of after school and summer programs, fitness, and education.
